On Sunday, September 12, nine BOC members successfully climbed Tumbledown Mountain. The sign at the head of the Loop Trail warned that the hike was not for the timid. As they clambered up the steep, rocky path, the hikers quickly realized why. At one point, they even had to climb up a ladder through a narrow rock tunnel. Shortly after reaching the summit, they ate lunch next to Tumbledown Pond before coming down on the Brook Trail.
A haiku about the day:
We went on a hike
Scrambled over many rocks
