Adding Funds to Your Bowdoin OneCard Account

Students can add funds to their Bowdoin OneCard Accounts online.  Click here to make a payment with an eCheck or credit card (Visa, American Express, or MasterCard), or to set up another individual to make payments on your behalf.  (Individuals may also go in as a "Guest Payer" to make a payment without having to be set up with a login ID and password.)

Students or other individuals who would like to deposit to a student's Bowdoin OneCard Account may also call the OneCard Office at (207) 721-5199 to make a payment over the phone using a U.S. check or savings account, or credit card (Visa, American Exress, or MasterCard).  

Funds can be added any time at one of the three automated cash deposit machines (CSVTs) on campus: Coles Tower, Hatch Science Library, Hawthorne-Longfellow Library.  The CSVTs accept American twenty, ten, five and one dollar bills.  They do not make change.  Please remember to collect your receipt in case a problem arises.   

Information Desk

Students can use their Bowdoin OneCard Account funds at the Information Desk at Smith Union to purchase various things they offer including:

  • Student organization event tickets
  • Tickets to concerts and other events
  • Shuttle tickets
  • Craft Center memberships and classes
  • Discounted movie tickets

Laundry

The Bowdoin OneCard Account is the ONLY payment method accepted at laundry facilities; the machines do not accept coins.  There are over 20 locations on campus where you can do laundry.  You can see a list of all locations, see what machines are open, get alerts sent to you when your laundry is finished, and report a problem with a machine at any time by visiting www.laundryview.com.

Photocopying and Printing

There is currently no charge for Bowdoin students, faculty, and staff to print at black and white printers in computer labs, but you must swipe your OneCard to release prints. This is allows a level of security for your documents.  You may pay for photocopies and for printing at color printers using your Bowdoin OneCard Account. *Please note: Faculty/Staff will use their person ID cards to release prints at color printers, and their departments will be billed automatically.  Dept. copy cards are not set up to pay for color prints.

Vending

Your Bowdoin OneCard Account can be used to buy snacks and beverages from vending machines with card readers. Cash is also accepted in all vending machines.
