Dining Service board plans and Polar Point transactions are programmed on your card.
You may purchase additional polar points by emailing the Dining Service Business Manager, Steve Cole, at scole@bowdoin.edu. The minimum for extra points is $50.00 and you may request that this be added to your student bill. Extra points (not those that come with your board plan) roll over year to year, and anything additional remaining upon graduation is refunded to your account.
Benefits-eligible faculty and staff can sign up for a Polar Plus Account to use their OneCard to purchase meals on campus in dining halls and at Jack McGee's Grill, and to make purchases at the Cafe and Convenience Store. To set up a Polar Plus Account, contact Human Resources at x3837 or download the Polar Plus Payroll Deduction Authorization (pdf) form.
Casual and part-time staff can use their OneCard Miscellaneous Account at these locations, provided funds have been added via one of the three CSVTs on campus.
Summer Programs participants will generally have meals in dining halls as part of their program, but in somecases can also use the Miscellaneous Account on their card for meals, snacks, and beverages. See your Program Coordinator for details.
