A distinguished group of researchers from 17 different institutions will gather at Bowdoin for the State of Marine Ecology in the Gulf of Maine Symposium Saturday, May 5, 2012.
Marine ecologists studying the Gulf of Maine will present and discuss current research and its implications within their areas of specialty.
Student involvement in research in the Gulf of Maine will also be featured. A poster session and Pecha Kucha presentations late Saturday afternoon will highlight student research and allow students to receive feedback on their work from leaders in the field.
The symposium will also feature an optional trip to Bowdoin's Coastal Studies Center on Orr's Island Sunday morning.
