The campus and community are invited to join Bowdoin's student-run organization Colleges Against Cancer for the annual Relay for Life to be held from 6 p.m. Friday, April 17, through 6 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Farley Field House.
Relay for Life raises money for the American Cancer Society and honors those who have battled cancer. Annually more than 400 Bowdoin students participate. In the four years the event has been held at the College, Bowdoin teams have raised more than $140,000. This year's goal is $50,000.

Colleges Against Cancer promotes cancer awareness and advocacy on campus and raises funds for the American Cancer Society through the Making Strides walk and the Relay for Life. For more information about student-run service organizations contact the Joseph McKeen Center for the Common Good.
