Satirist Mo Rocca, former correspondent for Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will perform at Bowdoin College at 8 p.m., Saturday, September 11, in Morrell Gymnasium.

Rocca is known for his wacky, tongue-in-cheek news reports and hilarious commentary. Indecision 2000, The Daily Show's coverage of the 2000 presidential race, garnered a Peabody Award. On The Daily Show he took audiences behind the scenes of America's most popular news satire program and profiled eccentrics, like a man so obsessed with First Ladies that he dressed up as Florence Harding.

Rocca is also a regular on VH1's Best Week Ever pop culture roundup and on the series I Love the 70s, I Love the 80s and I Love the 90s. He also hosts Bravo's Things I Hate About You, and is a contributor to The Today Show and NPR's Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!

His forthcoming book All the President's Pets - equal parts All the President's Men, Dutch, and Charlotte's Web - promises to blow the lid off a long-held secret in Washington: that president's pets are more than just photo ops!

Rocca is former president and writer of Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals. No stranger to the stage, his acting credentials boast the role of Doody in the Southeast Asia Tour of Grease. He began his career in TV as a writer and producer for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning PBS children's series Wishbone.

Tickets for Rocca's Bowdoin performance are $15 for the public, $12 for members of the Association of Bowdoin Friends, and $8 with a Bowdoin student/faculty/staff ID, and are available at the David Saul Smith Union information desk. Call 725-3375.

Members of the Association of Bowdoin Friends may purchase tickets at the McLellan Building, or call 725-3253.
