Details of New Online Billing and Payment System

Bowdoin College is pleased to introduce a new online system for the billing and payment of tuition and fees, effective July 1, 2008. The new system also is a payment gateway for depositing money onto a student's Bowdoin OneCard.

Features of the new system are:

  • Access by all students to billing statements using their Bowdoin ID and password
  • Set up others to become "authorized payers" with a separate user ID and password
  • View and/or print the student account statement
  • Pay bills online from a checking or savings account
  • Make deposits online to the student's OneCard from a checking or savings account, credit or debit card

Tuition & Fees

Each student will receive a message at his or her Bowdoin email address when a new student billing statement is ready. The statement can then be viewed securely online. Students may also set up access for parents and other payers. Both the student and the authorized payers receive emails when a new statement is available. Parents and students may also access accounts through Bowdoin's website. As a courtesy, we will continue to mail paper bills throughout the 2008-09 academic year as students and parents familiarize themselves with the online system.

Bowdoin OneCard

Students may review their OneCard balances online, and may immediately and securely deposit funds to their cards using an electronic check or an American Express, MasterCard, or Visa credit/debit card. Students may also authorize others to deposit funds to their cards. Currently monies can be deposited to the card for Bowdoin laundry locations, photocopying, purchased dining points (new in fall 2008), many vending machines across campus, Information Desk purchases including event tickets, discounted movie tickets, and Craft Center art class fees. Students will be notified as services and features are added to the OneCard.
