Baroque oboe master Gonzalo X. Ruiz presnts his high energy trio (Katherine Shao, harpsichord, and Joanna Blenduf, cello) in a program of works by and for the great virtuosos of the 1730's, including Vivaldi's celebrated sonatas for the Dresden oboists. A pre-concert lecture will be held in the Chapel from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m.

The Puerto Rican tenor sax player and his jazz ensemble will perform pieces from his latest album.The David Sánchez Group Tickets: $10; $8 for Students and Bowdoin Friends. Tickets may be purchased at the Smith Union Information Desk (725-3375) from October 9 through November 4, and will not be available at the door.
