Interested in making a living while making a difference? Learn from people in the public service field who are doing so, and find out what led them into non-profit work and what they have done in their careers.
This event, sponsored by the Career Planning Center, features a panel of leaders from a variety of nonprofit organizations, such as the Maine Humanities Foundation, Maine Civil Liberties Union, Maine Community Foundation, representatives from the arts (including theater), and the McKeen Center for the Common Good. Panelists and audience participants will describe their own career involvement, examples of work in nonprofits of recent graduates, the importance of community service while in college, opportunities for recent college graduates, and the practical and lasting rewards of work in nonprofit organizations.
The interactive panel will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. in Main Lounge of Moulton Union. An informal reception from 8 to 8:30 p.m. offers students an opportunity to talk one-on-one with participants.
