Mail is delivered weekly to Kent Island. Telephone calls can be made from the island; with prior arrangement they can also be received. Messages may be telephoned to the residence of Russell Ingalls, caretaker of the Bowdoin Scientific Station (506) 662-9114 or (506) 662-5225. During the summer, the station communicates frequently with Grand Manan Island via short-wave radio. Kent Island is an internet- and email-free zone.
