Information and Technology

IT Security oversees Bowdoin's efforts to protect its computing and information assets and to comply with information-related laws, regulations and policies.

Priorities

• IT Security's approach to security is more proactive than reactive, although priority response is given to incidents that have institution-level impact.
• The current focus is securing systems that affect a majority of the college, including administrative systems and the campus data network.  Special Priority is given to systems containing data classified as restricted.
