IT is very pleased to announce that we have a new satellite cable television service provider - Falls Earth Station, Inc. Bowdoin campus residence halls are provided with a CATV system (Community Antenna TeleVision), there is no need to sign up for service.

Residence halls and some public lounges also receive this service, along with certain classrooms for teaching purposes. Should you need a patch cable to connect your television to the cable outlet, simply stop by the IT Help Desk on the second floor of Coles Tower to pick one up at no charge.

Premium channels, pay-per-view, and digital cable service is also available to Bowdoin residents from Falls Earth Station. Subscriptions to Digital Basic service includes approximately 17 different cable stations, and 36 commercial-free stereo audio services. Premium services are also available for subscribtion: HBO Multi-Plex, Cinemax Multi-Plex, Showtime/The Movie Channel Multi-Plex, Starz/Encore Multi-Plex and a number of Pay-Per-View Channels.

You will be asked to choose a PIN number for account management purposes. In order to subscribe, you must have an e-mail address and a valid credit/debit card. All payments are made using the card.
