Meeting Maker

Did you miss a meeting because you didn't log into MeetingMaker and check your proposals? Do you find the flashing MeetingMaker notification icon annoying? If you answered yes to either of these questions you might want to set up MeetingMaker to automatically send you an email when a meeting is proposed.

  1. Open MeetingMaker, click once on "Edit" and once on "Preferences".
  2. Click on the "General" tab and go to the "Email Setting" section.
  3. In the "Local SMTP Host" box type smtp.bowdoin.edu; in the "Email Address" box type in your email address; and in the "Email Notify Address" box type in your email address.
  4. Click the "Notification" tab at the top of the window.
  5. Be sure to check "Send Email" in the "When a New Message Arrives" section and in "When New Proposal Arrives".
  6. Click once on "OK".

Please note: Meeting maker must be open on your computer for this to work.
