Making Webmail Your Browser's Default Start Page

In Internet Explorer:

Launch Internet Explorer and go to https://webmail.bowdoin.edu. Once the Bowdoin Web Mail login page loads select Internet Options from within the Tools menu; this action will open the Internet Options dialog window.

Using the Internet Options dialog window, click the Use current button to set the Bowdoin Web Mail login screen as your default home page. Once you have set your home page select OK commit the change and close the Internet Options dialog window.

In Safari:

Launch Safari and go to https://webmail.bowdoin.edu. Once the Bowdoin Web Mail login page loads select Preferences from within the Safari menu; this action will open the Safari Preferences dialog window.

Using the Preferences dialog window, making sure you are using the General tab, click the Set to Current Page button under the Home page field set the Bowdoin Web Mail login screen as your default home page. Once you have set your home page select close the dialog box by click on the red close-window button on the top-most left of the dialog window.

In FireFox:

Launch FireFox and go to https://webmail.bowdoin.edu. Once the Bowdoin Web Mail login page loads select Options... from within the Tools menu; this action will open the FireFox Options dialog window.

Using the Options dialog window, making sure you are using the Main tab, click the Use Current Page button under the Home page field set the Bowdoin Web Mail login screen as your default home page. Once you have set your home page select OK commit the change and close the Options dialog window.
