Online Learning

Do you prefer to learn on your own, at your own pace? IT supports learners by offering online training courses and quick "just in time" tutorials.

Lynda.com is a leading software and education provider with over 1500 courses offered online. Access the lynda.com library 24/7—from your compuer, iPhone, iPad, Android device, or other mobile device—and watch an entire course or single tutorial video as you need them. Exercise files let you follow along with the instruction as you learn, and bookmarks help you keep track of what you’d like to watch. You will be able to keep track of your progress, have access to instructor files and even get a certificate of completion after finishing a whole class.

Classes include: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Powperpoint, iPad apps, Final Cut Pro X, iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, interviewing skils, SPSS, Blackboard and many more!

Lynda.com can be accessed 2 ways.

1. A Lynda.com kiosk is located in the basement of Hawthorne Longfellow Library in the Scratch Space and NEW - a second location has been added to Hatch Science Library. From this dedicated computer you can access all of Lynda.com's video library. No login needed anytime during library hours!

2. Individual Lynda.com account. Request an individual account to login and access the entire Lynda.com library and training materials from the comfort of your office or home computer, iPad or even iPhone. A Lynda.com license can be "checked out" for up to 2 weeks. Your account and your list of courses will be saved until you need to access your account again. A certificate will be available for you to print out upon completion of a course.

If you are interested in using Lynda.com please contact Jennifer Snow via email or at 725.3707.
