Receiving Off-Net Calls

Users from outside of the CBB network may dial into the network using either a conventional telephone or ISDN video terminal. Off-Net users may make a direct connection to an endpoint on the CBB network or join a conference in progress.

To make an inbound call via the auto attendant:

  1. Dial 207-798-8700
  2. At the voice prompt dial the CBB video number or conference ID to connect to

TIP: Having a user call into a conference using a regular telephone can be very useful to bring in an outside user without access to a video conferencing site.

To make an inbound call using TCS4:

Remote locations that support TCS4 may specify the CBB number or conference ID as part of their dialing string instead of using the auto-attendant. This feature is not available on all remote systems or networks.

  1. Dial 207-798-8700 + Separator + CBB Number

Example: To join conference 725851234 a user with TCS capability might dial 2077988700*725851234. Remember the separator is site dependent.
