Creating a Conference

The CBB Video network allows for conferences from three to ten parties. Parties may be a mix of CBB (On-Net) participants and Off-Net participants. Conferences can either be voice activated (the person speaking is shown) or continuous presence (all parties are shown in a titled screen). Some conferences also support data sharing which allows participants to use collaborative features such as whiteboards, chat sessions, and application sharing.

  1. Dial a conference prefix followed by a unique conference number and optionally any parties to invite to the conference.
  2. Anyone else who dials the same conference prefix and unique number will be added to the conference.
  3. The conference ends when all parties have disconnected.

Conference Creation

72580 + Unique 4-digit No. = Audio Only
72581 + Unique 4-digit No. = Low Quality (172kb)
72582 + Unique 4-digit No. = Medium Quality (384kb)
72583 + Unique 4-digit No. = High Quality (768kb)
72585 + Unique 4-digit No. = Continuous Presence (384kb) with Data Sharing / 72586 + Unique 4-digit No. = Dynamic rate
72587 + Unique 4-digit No. = High Quality (384kb) with Data Sharing
72588 + Unique 4-digit No. = Low Bandwidth (64bk) with Data Sharing

Note: You may append '** + Number To Invite' to have the conference controller call another party into the conference.

  • Create a medium quality conference: Dial 725821234
  • Create a continuous presence conference and invite a CBB user and an off-net user: 725854321**7252000**93#2075551212

Remember, another party can join the conference by simply dialing the same number you dialed to create it (minus the option ** + Number to Invite).
