Vacation Messages

  1. Login to your webmail account  page at http://webmail.bowdoin.edu (no www).
  2. Click once on "Options" located on the left menu.
  3. "Out of Office Assistant" is the first group.
  4. Click once in "I am currently out of the office".
  5. Type in a vacation message in the "auto reply" field.
  6. Then click "save and close" at the top.
  7. All senders will receive your vacation message instantly when they send you an email.
  8. **Note--Your out of office reply will only be sent to the recipient once.

Removing a Vacation Message:

  1. Login to your webmail account page at http://webmail.bowdoin.edu (no www).
  2. Click once on "options" located on the left menu.
  3. "Out of Office Assistant" is the first group.
  4. Click once in "I am currently in the office".
  5. You can choose to delete or leave the text in the auto reply field.
  6. Then click "save and close" at the top.
