On August 28th, Apple released its new operating system Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) Snow Leopard adds built in exchange support for Mac Mail and iCal. For more new features included in Snow Leopard visit Apple's web site at: http://www.apple.com/macosx/

Information Technology staff are currently doing compatibility testing with software that Bowdoin uses to see how it works with Snow Leopard. We are working to correct an issue preventing people from logging into Bowdoin machines after a computer has been upgraded to Leopard. We recommend you hold off on upgrading your work computer to Snow Leopard until companies have certified their software is compatible with Snowleopard.

If you have already upgraded your computer to Snow Leopard or purchased Snow Leopard for home please be aware there are some applications that will not run as expected. For a known list of Snow Leopard software compatibilty visit: http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
