With the Office 2007 rollout on campus, you might be wondering if you can update your home computer with the same version of software used on campus machines. Good news! Under our Microsoft Campus Agreement, faculty, staff and students are allowed to obtain the latest Microsoft Office software (including Office 2008 for Mac users) for a personally-owned computer. In order to minimize costs and environmental impact from media and excess packaging, we are pleased to offer the software as a convenient download from the IT website.
In order to obtain software, just go to our secure software download page and sign in with your Bowdoin email username and password. Scroll down until you see Office 2007 listed, and click on the download icon.
You will be asked to agree to the terms of the Microsoft Agreement. Once you do so, you may begin the download.
If you have questions about the Microsoft Campus Agreement, please contact Sarah Morgan.
Many faculty and staff appreciate the ability to have the same version of Office on their work computer as well as on a personally-owned computer. The Microsoft Campus Agreement allows us to legally provide the latest software to faculty, staff, and students.
