Microsoft Office 2007 Training To Go

Story posted November 01, 2009

As part of the upcoming Office 2007 rollout, Information Technology staff offered a sneak peek at some of the new features that can be found in the latest version of Office.  Faculty and staff stopped by to see demonstrations of how to save or email a document as a PDF, create professional graphics in seconds, remove Word tracking and comments before sending a document, and how to add a digital sigature to a document.

Some of the benefits of the new version of Office include:

  • A streamlined, more visual user interface
  • Create appealing and professional looking documents quickly and easily
  • Preview formatting changes before you apply them
  • Create PDFs within Office 2007 applications
  • Document file size is smaller with new file format

Starting November 2, Microsoft Office 2007 will be available to Bowdoin Staff and Faculty. This will provide a better support and training environment, as all faculty, staff, and students who use Windows will be on the same version of Microsoft Office.
