Introduction
Bowdoin College supervisors and Human Resources use Recruit, our online applicant tracking system, to electronically maintain job descriptions, post requisitions, review applications, and approve new hires. In the two years that Recruit has been in use, there has been a 35% increase in applicant response to open positions, a 73% increase in applicant response to Bowdoin's voluntary EEO questionnaire, and we have saved over 100 reams of paper in the Human Resources office alone.
In Review, our online Performance Management system, the same library of electronic job descriptions is the basis for our online performance evaluations. All evaluations are now completed using Review.
Supervisors who need assistance in using Recruit to write job descriptions or post jobs, or who would like to learn more about using Review, are encouraged to attend one of our monthly trainings. Check out our Human Resources calendar for details on training dates and times!
