Benefits Open Enrollment will begin on Wednesday, November 4th at 9:00 am and will run through Friday, November 20th at 5:00p.m. All benefits-eligible employees must log in via HRforYou to review and elect benefits which will begin January 1, 2010.
Employees will have a modest increase in the new monthly pre-tax contributions for the Bowdoin College Health Plan for calendar year 2010. For employees earning $40,000 or less, the College will continue to fund a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). The HRA card amount will increase to $325 per year. This will help employees enrolled in the medical plan cover out-of-pocket expenses such as co-pays, deductibles, and prescription drugs.
The Bowdoin College Dental Plan benefits will remain the same and employee contributions are increasing by $1.

Adding or changing Dependent Coverage. Open Enrollment is the time to add or change your dependent coverage. You cannot change dependent coverage during the year unless you have a "qualified event". If you want to add or change your dependent coverage you will need to log into HRforYou and follow the steps for adding a dependent. It is a good idea to do this at least 24-48 hours BEFORE you enroll in benefits. For questions about logging into HRforYou, please contact x7070 for assistance.
Confirmation Statements. Please note that no paper confirmation statements will be mailed after you enroll in your benefits for 2010. Employees must review this information on HRforYou. Navigate to Personal Information > Employee Reports > Benefit Statement - Pending.
Total Compensation Statements. As a reminder, the College provides you with a number of benefits each year that are indicated on the Total Compensation Statements that are available on HRforYou at any time.
