Spark Webinar Series
“Inspiring speakers. Powerful results. A unique webinar series packed with information to help you meet everyday challenges.” Register for free to upcoming webinars via link provided or view previously aired content, ‘on demand’, available once it becomes available by entering the company code: ‘Bowdoin College’ to enter the Anthem EAP web site. 

Skill Building Webinars
Anthem EAP offers e-learning courses that can be completed in 15-20 minutes. Each offers a visual presentation, brief online quizzes, and a printable certificate of completion. Topics include: appreciating personality differences; effective communication; the art of conflict resolution; cultural diversity in the workplace. Workplace Harassment Training
Online training in the Blackboard system, required of all employees at the time of hire and regularly thereafter (biennially for supervisors or every three years for non-supervisory, benefits eligible and casual, staff). 

Health and Wellness Offerings
There are a number of opportunities, most free of charge, offered throughout the year to support health and wellness. These include on campus fitness/wellness classes and CPR/AED training, in addition to smoking cessation programs offered locally.

Professional development opportunities are offered by a number of organizations, online and in person. A few recommendations are listed below. Contact Human Resources to discuss potential resources for specific individual needs or to arrange for customized department training or facilitated retreats with local, professional, facilitators.

University of Southern Maine (USM) Professional Development Program
Offers in person and online skills development courses. Register through HR to receive a 20% discount for courses taken for work or for personal interest.

Professional Development for Managers & Supervisors
Managers can have the single largest impact on an organization with the most influence over employee morale, engagement, and performance. Training supports their role in directing and leading staff.

Maine Continuing Adult Education
Offers thousands of classes including business skills training, personal enrichment, and more.

New Ventures Maine
Offers tuition-free programs for career, business, and financial education. On-line and in-person courses in ten locations and sixteen counties.

Online Training Options
Free and affordable on-line trainings.

Next Step Maine Program
The College is a member of the Maine Development Foundation, Next Step Maine's Adult Learner Program designed to support working adults to help them increase their value in the workforce through increased skills and knowledge.
