MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin College men's golf team just missed out on qualifying for the NESCAC Championship, finishing in fifth place at the conference qualifier tournament at Middlebury's Ralph Myhre Golf Course this weekend. The Polar Bears finished just five shots behind fourth-place Williams College in the race for the bid to the NESCAC Spring Championship.

Bowdoin carded a dramatic 10-shot improvement as a team, carding a 303 team score following a 313 on Saturday. Jeff Cutter finished in a tie for fifth place individually with a 150 (78-72) while Ryan Blossom garnered 11th place with a 153 (77-76). Turner Kufe was 22nd (155), Kevin Smith 29th (158) and James Woo 37th (163) to round out the Bowdoin scorers.
