CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College volleyball team took the consolation bracket of the MIT Invitational with a pair of victories on Saturday. The Polar Bears beat Vassar 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 25-23) and Bridgewater State College 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-18). The Polar Bears stand at 8-5 overall this season.
Kristin Hanczor led Bowdoin against Vassar, racking up 16 kills, while Gillian Page notched 14 kills and 18 digs. Jenna Diggs had 35 assists. Against Bridgewater, Page led the team with eight kills and Hanczor collected seven. Anna Noucas had a team-high 11 digs.
Bowdoin returns to action this Wednesday with a home match against Colby. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
