CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College volleyball team lost a pair of matches at the first day of the MIT Invitational. The Polar Bears fell to Springfield 3-0 (25-12, 27-25, 25-23) and Endicott 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-20). The Polar Bears are classified in the tournament's Bronze Bracket on Saturday and will play Vassar (12:00) and Bridgewater State (2:00).
Leaders on Friday included Stephanie Drumright's seven kills against Springfield and Jenna Diggs, who collected 19 assists and 15 digs against the Pride. Against Endicott, Kristin Hanczor led the team with eight kills while Gillian Page posted six kills and 10 digs.
