MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin College men's and women's track teams each finished second in a season-opening meet at Middlebury on Saturday.
The Bowdoin men finished with 203.5 points to finish second to Springfield (283.5) and ahead of Middlebury (93) and Colby-Sawyer (72). The Polar Bear women were runners-up (192) behind Springfield (229) and ahead of Middlebury (182) and Colby-Sawyer (24).
Bowdoin had three winners on the women's side, led by Kelsey Borner, who won a pair of events. Borner won the shot put and discus throw, while Christina Argueta (5000 meters) and Courtney Eustace (3000 meter steeplechase) were also victorious.
Bowdoin dominated the men's 5000 meter run, placing the top seven runners. Nathan Krah place first overall in the event while James Bingham was Bowdoin's other winner in the discus.
