The Polar Bears took the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth, scoring three times. Brendan Garner led off the inning with a solo homer to left field. After KJ Kozens and Adam Marquit reached base, Reid Auger sacrified the pair to second and third, setting up a Zikaras two-run hit that pushed the lead to 4-1.
Tom Crews led off the sixth with a homer for Husson to cut into the lead, only to see Bowdoin reply with a Kozens RBI single in the bottom of the frame. Zikaras rocked a solo shot to left field in the seventh that made it a 6-2 game.
Bowdoin featured six different pitchers, as Sean Kleier started and struck out four in two innings. Evan Farley earned the win as the pitcher of record and Joe Pace scattered three baserunners in the ninth to pick up the save.
