AMHERST, Mass. - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team rallied from a 6-3 second-half deficit to take a 7-6 double-overtime win against Bowdoin on Saturday. Amherst's Amy Craig netted the game-winner to improve Amherst to 11-1 overall and 6-1 in the NESCAC. Bowdoin falls to 8-5 (3-4).
Bowdoin held a 6-3 advantage with under 25 minutes remaining, thanks in great part to a hat trick from Lindsay McNamara. The Jeffs rallied to score the final three goals of the period, including the game-tying tally from Amy Craig with 15:34 left. Craig netted the go-ahead goal with 2:22 remaining in the second extra-session.
Christina Denitzio, Katy Dissinger and Ashley Peterson also scored for Bowdoin, who got seven saves from Steph Collins-Finn.
