BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin junior outfielder Kaitee Daley (Canaan, Vt.) has been named Second-Team All-NESCAC in selections announced Thursday. Daley finished second on the team in hitting as the Polar Bears concluded their season with a record of 23-15.
Daley was nearly unstoppable as Bowdoin's leadoff hitter this season. In addition to connecting for a .398 batting average, she posted a .454 on-base percentage and stole 22 bases. A left-handed slap-hitter, all 47 of Daley's hits were singles, but she caused havoc on the basepaths, leading the team in both stolen bases and runs scored (32).
Her single-season marks in hits (47) ranks fourth all-time at Bowdoin while she finished two shy of the single-season record for runs scored.
