Bowdoin Earns First NCAA Bid

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team has earned their first-ever trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament and will host Mount Ida in a First-Round game on Wednesday, May 7. Gametime is set for 5:00 p.m.

The Polar Bears (11-6) finished fourth in the NESCAC Regular-Season standings and advanced to the NESCAC Championship game before falling to Williams, 9-4. Bowdoin earned one of at-large bids to the tourney, while Mount Ida (13-5) won their fifth-consecutive North Atlantic Conference title to earn an automatic trip.

The winner will advance to an NCAA Second-Round game to be played at Middlebury on Saturday, May 10.

Tickets will be available at Ryan Field beginning at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and $1 for children under 12. Children under 2 are free of charge. Bowdoin students are free with their school ID.
