NESCAC Announces Track Honors


BRUNSWICK, Maine - Following the completion of the 2008 NESCAC Men's and Women's Track and Field Championships, the league has announced the 2008 NESCAC All-Conference Team. The top three finishers in each event during the championship, hosted by Hamilton College on April 26, receive All-Conference recognition.

Eleven Polar Bears qualified for All-NESCAC recognition, led by Kelsey Borner, who took honors in the shot put at discus. Chelsea Jackson (javelin) and Hannah Peckler (long jump) were also individual honorees. The women's 4x800 meter relay squad of Amy Ahearn, Grace Kerr, Alex Peacock-Villada and Dana Riker was also recognized.

On the men's side, Bowdoin's 4x400 meter relay team took All-NESCAC awards. Brendan Egan, Kyle Hebert, Eric Lee and Zach Winters paced the Polar Bears in the event.
