Campbell Named NESCAC Player of the Week


BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College first-year Jill Campbell (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week.

Campbell posted a six-point weekend for the Polar Bears as part of a 2-0-1 week for the Polar Bears. Friday evening, Campbell notched a goal and three assists during Bowdoin?s victory over Wesleyan. She followed up the performance by scoring both Polar Bear goals in a 2-2 tie with Hamilton. Campbell leads Bowdoin with 10 points so far this season (5-5-10) and is tied for sixth among all conference rookies in points.

After struggling to a 2-5-1 start, Bowdoin has gone 2-0-2 in their last four games heading into a key road trip to Connecticut College and Amherst this Friday and Saturday.
