BRUNSWICK, Maine - Four Bowdoin College women's lacrosse players have been named IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association) All-Region performers in selections announced Wednesday. Stephanie Collins-Finn (Menands, N.Y.), Grace Moore (Groton, Mass.) and Taylor White (Wellesley, Mass.) earned First-Team selections while Bobbi Dennison (Freeport, Maine) netted a Second-Team choice.
White was Bowdoin's leading goal-scorer in 2007, finishing off a stellar career with a 27-goal campaign for the Polar Bears. She also led the team in groundballs (34), draw controls (27) and caused turnovers (36). She finishes her career as the eighth-leading scorer in school history with 142 points, including her 112 goals which sixth all-time. White was also named First-Team All-NESCAC this season along with Grace Moore. Moore, who was also named First-Team All-Region in 2006, was an outstanding defender for Bowdoin again as a junior in 2007. Starting all 15 games this season, she ranked among the team leaders with 30 groundballs, 22 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers. In addition, she scored six goals and one assist this year.
Collins-Finn captured her first All-Region selection following a solid sophomore campaign. A starter in all 15 contests, Collins-Finn played 804 minutes and posted an 8.51 goals-against-average (third in the NESCAC) and a .551 save percentage (second in NESCAC). She stood fourth in the NESCAC with 9.33 saves per game.
Bobbi Dennison repeats as an All-Region honoree, earning a Second-Team nod after finishing as Bowdoin's points leader this year. She scored 23 goals and added 10 assists, including a team-high four game-winners. Dennison was also among the team leaders in groundballs (27), draw controls (20) and caused turnovers (33).
