BRUNSWICK, Maine - For the sixth consecutive year, The Maine State Chapter of the National Football Foundation will sponsor an NFL Coaching Clinics for Youth Football Coaches. This year the national Football Foundation is offering three half-day clinics, including a June 9th event at Bowdoin College. The first clinic is being offered on Saturday, April 28th at the University of Maine with another being held at Cheverus High School on May 20th.
One $50 fee to join the National Football Foundation makes a coach eligible to attend all three clinics.
Registration for the April 28th Clinic at the University of Maine begins at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning. The clinic will begin with a welcome by Black Bear Head Football Coach Jack Cosgrove. Attending coaches will watch the Black Bears scrimmage on Saturday morning, followed by classroom talks by members of the University of Maine staff. The program will end at 2:00.
In the last five years, almost 250 youth coaches from throughout the State of Maine have attended the clinic. The NFL Coaching Academies are half-day clinics designed specifically for youth, middle school and freshman/JV level football coaches.
