Chadwick Named Player of the Week

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College men's lacrosse player Matt Chadwick (Needham, Mass.) has been named the Player of the Week for the New England Small College Athletic Conference. The senior captain led the Polar Bears to a season-opening victory over Connecticut College last Saturday. Bowdoin (1-0) is ranked 17th in the latest Inside Lacrosse Division III poll.

Chadwick scored five of the Polar Bears? nine goals in a 9-6 comeback victory over Connecticut College on Saturday. Chadwick helped erase a three-goal deficit before halftime, followed by scoring Bowdoin?s only goal in the third quarter. He sealed the victory for the Polar Bears in the fourth quarter, scoring twice within a nine-second span, finishing the game with five goals and two assists. For his career, Chadwick has 36 goals and 18 assists.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday the 14th against Keyon College in Sylvan Park, Florida.
