Figueiredo Named All-American

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College men's soccer player Nick Figueiredo (Wilmington, Mass.) has been named a Second-Team All-American in selections announced this week by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Figueiredo, who also earned First-Team All-NESCAC and All-New England honors, becomes the eighth player in Bowdoin men's soccer history to earn All-American recognition.

Figueiredo enjoyed an outstanding junior campaign, racking up a team-high 12 goals this season. He ranked third in the NESCAC in goal scoring in notching his second consecutive First-Team All-NESCAC and All-New England awards. After three seasons he has scored 25 goals, just seven shy of the program record held by David Bulow '02, Andrew Russo '06 and Gima Asmerom '73.

Bowdoin finished their 2006 campaign with a record of 10-4-1.
