BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin senior guard Kevin Bradley (Seekonk, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for his performance in a pair of non-conference victories. Bradley is second on the Polar Bears in scoring this season, averaging 15.8 points per game.
Bradley was outstanding in the two Polar Bear wins last week. Against the University of New England on Tuesday, Bowdoin's senior captain scored a game-high 26 points, including 6-of-9 from three-point range, dished out four assists and had four steals. On Sunday against Thomas, he pitched in 15 points, three assists and three steals as Bowdoin improved to 3-1 on the year. For the week, Bradley averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3.5 steals and hit 9-of-13 three-pointers (69%).
The Polar Bear men's basketball team will play the second contest of a doubleheader on Tuesday evening when they host the University of Southern Maine at 8:00 p.m. Bradley shared the weekly honor with Russell Martin of Trinity. He is the first Polar Bear to win the NESCAC's Player of the Week since Kyle Petrie in February of 2003.
