BRUNSWICK, Maine - For the second straight week, Bowdoin College copped NESCAC Football Rookie of the Week honors, as first-year linebacker Tyler Tennant (Swampscott, Mass.) notched the title following the final week of conference play. The Polar Bears finished their season with a 2-6 mark, but claimed victories over Bates and Colby to win their first CBB Championship since 1998.
Tennant led the Polar Bear defense on Saturday at Colby with 12 tackles, nine of which were solo. Of those stops, 2.5 were for a loss as the Bowdoin defense allowed no touchdowns to the Mules.
Overall, Tennant finished the season fourth among his teammates in tackles with 49 stops this year.
