Egan, Figueiredo Honored by NESCAC

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College men's soccer players Nick Figueiredo (Wilmington, Mass.) and Brendan Egan (Westfield, N.J.) have earned First-Team All-NESCAC honors in selections announced on Thursday evening. The duo helped the Polar Bears post a 10-4-1 campaign in 2006.

Figueiredo, a junior, will have a chance to become the school's all-time leading goal scorer heading into his senior year in 2007. A First-Team All-NESCAC choice a year ago, Figueiredo finished third in the league in scoring this season with 12 goals and an assist. He is tied for seventh all-time in program history with 25 tallies, just seven back of the school's all-time mark.

Brendan Egan notched his first-ever Conference honor by solidifying the Bowdoin defense in 2006. In addition to scoring a pair of goals- including a game-winner in a victory over Gordon College- Egan was the Polar Bears' steadiest defender. Bowdoin allowed just 12 goals in 15 games this year.
