BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior softball player Danielle Chagnon (Windsor Locks, Conn.) has received All-NESCAC recognition after a sensational senior season. The Polar Bear shortstop was Bowdoin's lone All-Conference selection and captured First-Team All-Conference honors for the second-straight season. Bowdoin finished the year with a record of 18-22.
Chagnon led the team in batting average (.426), runs-batted-in (30), total bases (83), slugging percentage (.610) and stolen bases (10) in 2006, and set the school's single-season record with 58 hits and 27 runs on the year. For her career, Chagnon stands first all-time in runs (83) and is tied for the top spot in triples (10). She is second all-time in hits (154) home runs (12) total bases (233) stolen bases (26) and runs-batted-in (87), while standing third in doubles (23).
