BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's soccer team placed three players on the NESCAC's All-Conference team released on Thursday.
Polar Bears Mike Crowley (Wellesley, Mass.) and Nick Figueiredo (Wilmington, Mass.) were selected as First-Team members, while Simon Parsons (Hollis, N.H.) was a Second-Team choice. The Polar Bears finished the 2005 campaign with a record of 11-3-1.
Crowley, a senior co-captain, anchored a Bowdoin defense that allowed just eight goals in nine conference games and ranked third in the conference with a team goals-against-average of 1.07. Nick Figueiredo, a sophomore forward, was second on the Polar Bears and fourth in the league in scoring, finding the back of net eight times and adding six assists on the year. Figueiredo has 13 career goals.
Simon Parsons earned a Second-Team choice after another strong year for Bowdoin offensively. The junior forward led the Polar Bears in scoring with 10 goals and three assists, good enough for second in the league. After three seasons with the Polar Bears, Parsons has 15 goals and 11 assists.
