BRUNSWICK, Maine - With Tufts University's 2-0 defeat of Wesleyan University on Wednesday evening, the Bowdoin College men's soccer team has clinched a first-round NESCAC home contest on Sunday, October 30. Sunday's gametime is scheduled for 12:30.
The Polar Bears (10-2-1, 6-2 NESCAC) currently stand in a tie for second place in the conference standings, but had not clinched a first-round home game due to one potential scenario that included a tie with Wesleyan, who the Polar Bears host on Saturday. With the Cardinals losing on Wednesday afternoon to the Jumbos, that scenario was eliminated.
Williams, who has clinched the top seed in the NESCAC, will host the semifinals and championship rounds on November 5 and 6.
