BRUNSWICK, Maine - A trio of Bowdoin College men's lacrosse players have been named to the All-NESCAC teams announced on Thursday. Senior Andrew O'Brien and junior Connor Fitzgerald were first-team selections, with sophomore Kevin Mullins grabbing a second-team nod.
Connor Fitzgerald (Hingham, Mass.) repeats as an All-NESCAC honoree after leading Bowdoin in scoring in 2005, tallying 33 goals and 20 assists. His 2.36 goals per game ranked fourth in the conference, with his assist total standing sixth in the league. Fitzgerald's 163 career points rank him 14th all-time at Bowdoin.
Senior captain Andrew O'Brien (Allston, Mass.) also earned a first-team selection following an outstanding defensive campaign. O'Brien led a defensive corps that allowed a mere 7.47 goals per game this season- second in the NESCAC.
Kevin Mullins (Duxbury, Mass.) earned a second-team choice after a strong year at midfield for Bowdoin. Mullins proved to be one of Bowdoin's key transition players, scoring seven goals and assisting on 15 others this year.
Bowdoin placed second in the NESCAC standings this season, posting a 10-5 overall record.
