BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College has qualified two swimmers for the NCAA Division III Championships at Hope College. The women's meet will occur this weekend, while the men's meet will be on March 17-19.
Megan McLean will be the Polar Bear representative this weekend in the women's meet. The sophomore from Simsbury, Connecticut posted a time of 1:55.12 to qualify in the 200 freestyle competition, where she is seeded 15th. She will also race in the 100 freestyle competition.
Roger Burleigh will swim for the Polar Bears at Nationals the following weekend. The junior from Lakewood, Colorado earned automatic qualification with a time of 1:52.18 in the 200 butterfly, where he is the fourth seed. He will also swim the 100 butterfly at Nationals.
