Petrie Earns All-NESCAC Recognition

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College junior men's basketball player Kyle Petrie (Iowa City, Iowa) has been named as a Second-Team All-NESCAC selection in a vote by conference coaches. The Polar Bears finished the season with a record of 13-12.

Petrie grabbed a Second-Team nod thanks to a stellar campaign, that saw him lead Bowdoin in scoring (17.4 ppg), rebounds (8.8 rpg), steals (1.2 spg) and blocks (1.3 bpg). The junior forward also became just the 16th Bowdoin player to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau for his career.

Petrie was outstanding down the stretch for the Polar Bears, as a late-season run clinched a berth in the NESCAC playoffs. He had nine double-doubles this season and also connected on 47% of his shots from the field and 41% from three-point range.
