BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College has announced ticket information and gametime for their second-round NCAA contest on Saturday, March 5. The Polar Bears will host the winner of Brockport State-Alvernia at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday with tickets being $4 for adults and $3 for children over 5 and senior citizens. Bowdoin students with ID and children under 5 are free of charge.
In other news, Bowdoin junior Justine Pouravelis (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Pouravelis was nearly unstoppable as the Polar Bear women?s basketball team won their fifth straight NESCAC Championship. Pouravelis dominated the competition, connecting on 17 of 19 shots from the field in a pair of games, scoring a career-high 21 against Amherst in the semifinals and 16 points against Bates in the championship tilt. The reigning NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year also grabbed 20 rebounds in the two games and posted three blocks and three steals against the Bobcats in the Championship Game.
