BRUNSWICK, Maine - Both the Bowdoin men's and women's ice hockey teams are currently enjoying win streaks and spots in the U.S. College Hockey Online National Rankings released on Monday. The Polar Bear women are seventh in the nation, while the men are 13th overall.
The men's ice hockey team (8-1-1) is currently riding a four-game winning streak, outscoring their opponents 24-5 during the stretch, and has risen to number 13 in the poll. The Polar Bears will host top-ranked Middlebury on Friday evening in Dayton Arena at 7:00. The game will be broadcast live on the web via Teamline; go to the Bowdoin website for more details.
The women's hockey team (7-3-1) has won three straight games, but slipped one spot from sixth to seventh in this week's poll. The Polar Bears will look to continue their strong play in the Nutmeg State this weekend, when they play at Wesleyan on Saturday and Trinity on Sunday. Bowdoin will return home next on January 21 when they play Connecticut College.
