Gadon Named NESCAC Player of the Week

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College sophomore men's ice hockey player James Gadon (Toronto, Ontario) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Gadon earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Salem State Holiday Classic last week as the Polar Bears improved to 6-1-1 this season.

The sophomore forward scored a goal and two assists as the Polar Bears thumped Worcester State, 8-1, in a semifinal matchup last Monday. He followed it up by posting a hat trick in the 5-2 championship game victory over ninth-ranked Curry College.

Gadon leads all Bowdoin players with eight goals this season. He is currently riding a five-game goal-scoring streak, dating back to December 3. The Polar Bears will return to action on January 7 when they begin a four-game homestand against Babson.
